What is the purpose of this new environment???

In this new environment, grace, mercy, and justice would all be carried out ...and all with our ability to understand it, if we so desired to.

The six days of Creation were a new beginning of sorts, and all of which was directed to the day that Jesus came to earth as man ...to suffer, die, and bring to life our possibility of eternal life with Him.

What do I mean by possibility??

Well, that would be choice.

Yes, we all do have the ability to choose.

It is not forced upon us.  We are not made to choose.

Yet, we also can't avoid choosing by trying not to choose at all.

Not choosing is also a choice ...and in this case, it is not a admirable gesture as in politely allowing someone else to choose.  And it is not like an election where we do not want to commit, so we just decide not to vote.

If a boat comes near, yet we feel the shore is rather near also ...we must make a decision, as we can't tread water for forever. And we don't know what attention our kicking legs are attracting beneath the surface of the water ...nor do we know how quickly the water becomes shallow near shore, providing safety from what we can't see beneath the water.  The water may be deep right near the shore.  Yet, the boat has a crew that could provide more help than a shoreline of sand and shells.

On the other hand, if the crew also has shells ...ammunition shells, pointing at me, I may not have a chance with those on board, or of reaching the shore.  Yet, if I could see Jesus on shore ...I would go towards Him.

You are right, analogies are not always good ones ...nor do they get us to the real point.  Better to just make the point. And the point is, that to choose Jesus, is to choose to accept not just His Name, but to accept all of what He has said.  And it also means we should not disregard what the Father has said, as Jesus said He and the Father are One.

If this makes no sense to you ...then why are you reading what I am saying??  What needs to be done, is for everyone to do their best to try reading the Bible.  It often helps to read it with someone else, but sometimes that is not so much a help.  I can't tell you so much as to discern which is best in which situation.

And it is not always easy to tell which Spirit is hovering upon the face of the water, and which tempts us to stay afloat just long enough to drag us under.  I can only say ...that the Bible is the best that anyone can do. To pray about it, read it, and pray again for discernment.
