At school, there was a group we felt we couldn't identify with. This one group appeared to us to be rather ...well, it seemed they felt they were better than the rest of us.
Okay, maybe it's presumptuous to say they felt they were better, or perhaps we just felt we were less ...because we did feel they were better.
Whichever case was true, we just felt we couldn't get along. They couldn't quite seem to be able to relate to us, and we couldn't relate to them.
So, we just decided to ignore them. And we knew that pretending that someone doesn't exist is difficult for the one being excluded from recognition ...especially in junior high.
And since we were in charge of the yearbook, we just left them out. Anyone who wanted to refer to the yearbook ...would find no record of them.
I've never heard of this happening ...it seems absurd, and wouldn't ever be tolerated or allowed.
